The error code is stored in history, so it isnt a current fault. If you clear it and it doesnt come back, I'd say your battery is good. How old is the battery?

Turns out the no start was indeed due to another loose ground, this time it was one of the ground straps that hook to the coil packs.

BUT I wouldnt swap a 550i N62TU for an LS. Kind of a waste of an interesting engine if you ask me.

I haven't done the procedure before, only have researched into it while performing troubleshooting. I'll let someone more knowledgeable chime in as its better safe than sorry with these types of tasks

You have to resync the EWS via a specific procedure in INPA. Just clearing the code wont work.
There should be a specific button for it when you open the chassis script screen
