Donít take it to the dealer for a diagnostic scan. You would be better off purchasing BMW specific Foxwell or Autophix scanner to do your own diagnostics. It is hard to trust what a dealer tells you....

I use a CTEK 5.0 charger. I wouldnít fully trust a AAA measurement for a complicated system. Time to change and charge a battery. So many systems rely on the starting power.

Might want a second opinion. Pulleys can seize and can be replaced by independent shops for about $400. Thatís relatively low mileage on the compressor.
