Head gasket was what my mind went to first when you said "overheated". But again, need a lot more info.

They don't make them, actually. I've looked for tuners for the N51/N52 engines and there really aren't any. If you want a faster car, go with the 335i platform.

FWIW, I use the dealer for many repairs, and I'm completely outside of warranty. I can barely even do recalls because the dealer is in another country.

I knew I was forgetting something I had done. Yes, drive belt and tensioner should absolutely be replaced. They're pretty cheap items that can cause a world of headache if they fail.

- Change all fluids. This means engine oil, transmission, differential, transfer case, power steering, brake fluid, coolant.
- Change the spark plugs and ignition coils....

Honestly, if you're going to go through the work of removing it, why not just replace it ? IIRC, the part is ~$200.00. Not really a lot of money for something you'll likely replace only once.

That's not the error it shows when it's still calculating though. It should show a clock symbol under the level meter while the car is still warming up.

Looks like you've got a fault in the Adaptive Headlights as well. As suggested - pull all the codes and post all of them into a new thread. We'll try and help you as best we can :)
