I mean, width is width. NASA Spec3 racecars (E36 325i) run the E34 basketweaves, which are 15x7. They use a 205 Toyo RR with a crapload of sidewall and it all works very well. They are not slow cars....

A 205mm on an 8" wheel... LOL. More tire is more better. 235's fit on 8" wheels happily, and tons of us run 245's on 8.5". 205 on an 8" wheel is going to be stretched and not provide the best grip.

Manifold and tune should wake the 323 up a bit - the way BMW made it a "323" was manifold, tune, and exhaust.

An intake will make louder brapbrap noises but don't count on it for power.

Did you replace the boots for the coil packs as well as the coil packs themselves?

eBay coils are your first mistake but you put OEM on - good correction. NGK plugs are good, do you know the model...
