2mm is ENORMOUS. Specs allow for 1.6mm gone on both sides combined. Needless to add; that is 0.8 mm on a single side.

Bmw being German, if renew would mean some sort of mechanic cleanup action, they would have written a 14 page procedure for it, to be completed with 3 special tools. And that for a critical 2$ part...

Possibly. The little hinge is quite fragile. Gently sucking it open with your mouth and a flexible straw or thin tube might work too.

Apparently the USN does not march on its stomach. Where I work we have professional barristas to keep the workforce happy. I do wish they extended that level of service to the toilet cleaners though....

I have that (don’t all e70s?), yet mine does not behave like that. Could it be us spec cars have that feature coded in?

Edit; If the parking brake is of the kind that is integrated into the brake...
