Another way to get centering ring is to put 12mm spacers on fronts.

2. Does wheel pull to one side? No? Might not.

X1 took it in stride, since the bumpers are flexible.

X5 would have same outcome if mineral white.

I'd take BMW 5w30 over Mobil 1 5w30.

Moly additives are in several oils, but I'd be careful about adding more.

Moly can plate out, and take out clearances, so I think the makers already know how much can be used.

But there are...

Mobil 1 0w40 and several others in that weight are made from natural gas and synthetic. That's one reason they are great for hot running German cars.

Some of the 5w40's are made for diesels with...

I use a scanguage to correct speedo, and have...

No, it's 100k miles. The Odometer that measures distance driven is very accurate on my X1, but speedometer reads 5% too high like all other BMW's.

Inside gets wear because the caliper pins hold caliper tight, and inside pads push, but caliper has to slide to equalize piston force on outside pad.

I don't know why, but Mobil 1 5w30 just isn't stout like their 0w40.

Castrol 0w30 tests close to Mobil 1 0w40 in viscosity.

I've planned to do 10k oil changes on my 0w40, also.
