Do you have a code reader? Did you try a battery reset? Open trunk, wait 16 min for the light to go out, disconnect the battery...

Just search on bmw e39 battery voltage and you will see that low battery voltage can cause all kinds of problems.
So, first things first, car running the voltage should be app. 14,1 volts, not much...

Why not change the radiator? You can monitor the coolant temp on the cluster menu, don't trust the gauge as it is buffered.....

Yes, the polarity was wrong for the left rear, still dont know why, tried to swap the wires but no change.
The part I have should fit all e39's from 1995-2003 and the oe number match from realoem....
