I think that is the reason BMW add foam/rubber between parts to isolate the noise from telegraphing thru the body of the car...hope it works.

If you call around to BMW dealers in/out states you might luck out and find the entire kit with all the parts and hardware including the installation instructions or buy from e-bay or private owners...

I have not hear of anyone having problems with the tensioner, but in my case is just preventing maintenance, the same by replacing the PCV valve it seems no one does it.

Nothing to do with the timing chain...the only thing I have done to my 1.9 with 240K miles is to change the chain tensioner pin (picture #21) easy to do.
