For your info, my M5 (when it was running) burned less oil than any/all of my prior M54s. Traditional piston rings for the win.

I don't think it's coolant or power steering fluid (ATF). My 530i5 shot some similarly colored dirt around the engine bay; I think it came from one of the accessory pulleys. Some grease or something...

Yeah, factory tuning is not great. Itís best for heel-toeing, as the initial pedal travel is too sharp. I had my M5 retuned recently, and with a revised throttle map, Sport mode is actually useful....
