Found a new part, Water outlet [bicuspid] valve.
Water outlet valve. PN 51-71-7-138-858
It is supposed to drain the cavity below the brake master cylinder.
Changing cabin air inlet filter today, I noticed an significant accumulation of leaves since I cleaned the pocked below the filter housing and below the ECU box. I sucked out all of the dry leaves from the passenger side and thought to check the drivers side.
More leaves, thankfully all dry. The first time I cleaned this pocket it had a gallon of rotten water. Today I lowered a light to the bottom and found the bicuspid valve full of dried mud. So I dug out the mud, andtried to get the rubber valve out - unsuccessfully. I did shove a screwdriver through the valve so it will pass some water.
I did not see a parallel valve on the passenger side, nor was it diagrammed at RealOEM
Scepticism and Animal Faith (1923)
Scepticism is the chastity of the intellect, and it is shameful to surrender it too soon or to the first comer: there is nobility in preserving it coolly and proudly through long youth, until at last, in the ripeness of instinct and discretion, it can be safely exchanged for fidelity and happiness.
