2014 F06 oil

Does anyone with a 2014 650i gran coupe have any problems with the oil?i constantly have to keep adding 2 quarts every so often, about once a month? Some say it's normal because of the Turbo engine, some say 2 quartz is a lot. I still have warranty and the dealer says it happens a lot with the V8 engines but some says it's not normal. Just any feedback would be appreciated, thanks

Here's some past discussions of the same topic. The N63 & N63TU is used in the f10/f11 5 series, f01/f02 7 series, f06/f12/f13 6 series, and f15/f16 X5/X6 series...so you will see similar issues across all 3:

Definitely not normal, I've never added oil to my 2014 650 between oil changes. I change my oil every 5,000 miles. Car currently has 22,000 miles and I've had it for 4 years. Bought it with 1,500 miles on it.

Thanks guys, just contacted my service advisor and there is supposedly a customer care package for bmw's with the N63 engine. Taking it in to have it checked out because this does seem too excessive for the amount of oil it's consuming. Will update this thread once I find out what happens. Thanks guys! God bless

You don't have the N63 engine. N63 was only for 2012s. You have the N63tu engine and there is no customer care package for that.

Ditto above...your model year has the N63TU engine...so you don't fall under the recall program.

And for even more clarification about the N63 iteration of engines...see the list below. There were five N63B44 engine iterations (and six if you count the 4.0 liter N63B40 engine used for the China market) that span from the N63/N63TU/N63TU2/N63TU3/etc that were used in E-G series BMW models. Hopefully the info below will help you understand what you have and where you fall withing the N63 debacle:

Well, as for now, I still have the same issue, just did one oil consumption test, BMW topped off my oil and told me to bring it back at a thousand miles or when/if the low engine oil light comes on, it came back on after about 860 miles. Now they are doing a 2nd test, same thing but if it fails again (which is very likely since I don't drive like a maniac and I always have it in comfort mode) they said they would replace the engine. I have read posts on here that this was offered for the N63 engines, has anyone with a N63TU engine had this problem? Looking for more input on what options are available to me. Does anyone know, if they replace the engine, is it the whole engine with transmission? Like a brand spanking new engine with zero miles? What will happen with my mileage odometer if this is the case?!? Thanks in advance.

Brand new engine but no transmission. The mileage on the vehicle stays the same, just because the engine has zero miles the rest of the car still has mileage that needs to be accurately disclosed.

I have the N63TU and dealing with the same issue. I have done 3 of the 1k oil consumption test and every time it is in spec of 1 quart per 750 miles. However, at 2000 mile it burns 4 quarts it doesn't make sense and dealer will not do anything because the 1k oil consumption test are in spec.
