Exhaust leak?

Hello everyone, recently I made a post on a header bolt being stripped. I repaired that with a helicoil but the noise is still there.
I tried to feel any leak around the header while the car was on although I haven’t found anything, I tightened all the header bolt holes and still the same.
The sound sounds like a normal header leak but not seeing or feeing anything
I did recently take the lifters and “cleaned them” (took the middle piston out and clean” I did pump oil through them (to prime) I kinda feel like it might be the lifters? The sound is loud at first start up then quotes a bit down when engine is hot but whenever gas is pushed can hear it . Maybe secondary pump check valve failed ? I will post a video later.

The more I look into it online I feel like I must have installed the manifold gaskets on wrong maybe backwards?

The gaskets dont care what way they go on, as long as they do go on. You have to have every bolt in, and every nut tight. If you have a sap, that takes a gasket too.
If it starts really loud then quiets down, it sometimes symptomatic of a cracked exhaust pipe or the later gaslet leak. Double check 02 sensors are tight as well.

Are you sure the leak is coming from the headers? Maybe coming from a loose O2 sensor around the cat? Or maybe even where the muffler connects to the midpipe.

Sometimes when you're listening to sounds from under the car, it's a little deceiving where it's actually coming from since the sound is getting bounced around. Just a thought
