CCC or CIC???

I have a 2010 528i and it has the CIC dial and buttons, BUT the CCC menu and screens...

I am looking into the Android replacement screens, but when you buy them, you have to order either the CCC or the CIC version, so the cabling is the correct one.

Now.. which one should I order???

The Android is dependent on the IDrive software so you have CCC.

Weird, I thought as a 2010 that you would for sure have CIC. I have a 2009 and it has the updated iDrive controller wheel with the 6 shortcut buttons, but it is still the CCC iDrive screen because I had read the screen didn't change until 2010 to CIC.

Yes, it is definitely a 2010 model, and it it like yours, it has the updated iDrive controller but the CCC screen... which makes me wonder which option of the Android should I get, because I know that it connects with the iDrive controller, so I am afraid some connections won't match...

What's the build date on the B pillar? My 05/2009 build 535, a very early 2010, has CIC.
Do you have CCC Navigation?

According to the VIN information, the production date is 2009-09-21

It does not have navigation, though

My understanding is you only get CCC/CIC if you have Navigation. All others get the M-ASK/CHAMP radio. Not sure how this affects the Android selection. This was the case with my '08 X5. No nav, so I had the M-ASK. I retrofitted the CIC w/Nav from a '11 and had to run the GPS antenna wire to the front.
