Question Break resistant glass

Hi bimmer festers,

I was wondering. How do you know if you have break resistant glass? I found my owners manual the other day and was reading through it at IHOP for fun. I took particular notice when it said you can only use water to wash the glass, because it is not scratch proof. So Is there anyway to tell if you have Break resistant glass???

Thank You!

I thought that was only an option on the 750?? I've had this conversation before but I can't remember how you tell.

BMW also makes a custom window cleaner for about $8.00, works great.!!

You are referring to the bullet proff glass (B4 Protection).
There is however also burgalr-proof glass which is about as thick as dual-pane glass but without the air inbetween.

So there are 4 types of glass:
- Regular single pane
- Dual pane
- Burglar resisting
- Bullet resisting / Protection
