Need Help Identifying Wheel Lug Nut Lock

Hello All,

The wheel lug nut lock that came with my X1 was stripped by costco while changing tires. They were done removing one wheel and stripped it on removing the second one! so couldn't change the tires.

Now, I need to find the replacement for that but I am having no luck identifying the part. I went to the dealership and they tried matching it with the tool set that had for all the locks and told me it is "047" and asked me to buy it from McGard. However, I couldn't find anything on McGard that is "047". McGard identifies that lock key per the X1 year model as part number 27179 which I bought and it does not fit either. Tried buying the part number 047 from Amazon as wheel lock for BMW vehicles and that didn't fit. Looks like the dealership couldn't identify it correctly.

So here I am seeking help identifying the part number so I can purchase the right one and get my tires replaced. See attached are the pictures of the stripped lock key as well as the lug nut pattern. Please let me know if anyone know which one this is and if there are any suggestions on where to buy it.

Thanks for your help!

Only if you don't mind screwing up the wheel locks. Buying a new set of locks with a duplicate set of keys may cost more initially, but the cost should balance out when you factor in your time saved. Good luck!

I took a picture of mine and sent it to the dealer. They mailed me a new one, no charge.
