7 Series - G11 / G12 (2016 - current)
The next generation G11/G12 BMW 7 Series flagship forum. Unveiled June 10th, with production starting in August the 6th generation 7 Series comes in a light weight package with extensive use of BMW i carbon fiber technology. The interior quality raises the bar with a touch screen and gesture controlled infotainment system. Exterior styling has been a sticking point with mixed reviews so far.

My wife and I are planning on going... but looking at the address, looks like it is in a subdivision of homes? (Green Pine Drive NE) Maybe it's a country club?

Looks like a fancy ultra modern home according to Google street view.

My wife and I are going to the Thursday evening event. Would be great to meet another Fester live.

BMW reaches out to you. A friend of ours called our dealership to get an invite, but couldn't get one. I'll PM you the RSVP phone number if you'd like to call them and try to attend.

Similar setup in Dallas. It worked pretty well. A nice change of pace to the usual anonymous hotel ballroom.

They had 1 car on a stage in the backyard. And another car in a multi-car garage.

The disconnect, in my mind, is that the home was mind blowing. More akin to someone driving a Mulsanne or Phantom is my perception, since I'm not in that demographic.

I went to the Atlanta preview tonight and the house was dream.

As for the car, the exterior is not a big departure from the current car but the interior and technology is leaps and bounds above the current car. 0-60 in 4.3 secs and the gesture control actually works very well. I was set on the M3 but I may just wait for the 5 series G10. They stopped making the short body 7series because the 5 series fulfills that category now. At least that's what I was told by the VP guy.

5075 Green Pine Drive NE Atlanta, GA 30342. It's going on until the 23rd and you should be able to register if they sent you an invite. You just can't show up because they verify the name. No cameras or apple watches allowed.

They took my wife's watch hostage. I warned her about buying that watch.

I believe the short wheel base model will be made for other countries. It just has relatively limited demand in the USA.

I personally prefer the style proportions of the SWB over the LWB. The rear door looks too long for the side of the car. The SWB proportions are perfect - door size wise.

Agreed!!! No need for me to have all of that extra rear leg room. My boys aren't NBA stars... Yet.

The S Class has done alright being sold as an extended wheelbase only, so I guess they're following suit to go along with the upmarketing of the 7. I'm indifferent on the extended wheelbase, but really don't need X-drive out in LA. If I pull the trigger I'll wait for the RWD. Cost on this sucker when moderately equipped is about 10k more than my last 7 that was equipped similarly.
