X6 E71 / E72 (2008 - 2014)
The BMW X6 luxury crossover went on sale in April 2008 as a 2009 model year. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The E71 X6 was built off the E70 X5 (2007 - 2013) platform at BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Total worldwide sales were just over 235,000, sold mostly to the BRIC countries. US total sales was 34,082 vehicles.

For Sale: BMW OE Bicycle Carrier 82710443424

I have sold my E70 so I need to get rid of my bike rack

It mounts into the two spots on the rear bumper underneath those square pop off covers.

It is super secure and lockable. Works on E70 and E71

I apologize if it is bad form to post for sale on this forum, I wasn't sure.

Price is $350 OBO plus $40 shipping. 48 states only.

I live in south Georgia if someone wants to pick it up instead.

I have the same rack. How much would you charge, to copy the owner's manual?

Is that black plastic "special key" necessary? Mine was missing the Torx, huge Allen and the black key. All I received was the two locking keys.....

In the directions you will see that the special key tightens the bike holding arms to the rack. Kind of anti-theft so can't use any wrench to remove the bike. the huge allen is just a 10mm wrench, easy to find. The other allen is a standard size.

Thanks for confirming. I also see Security Allen bolt, near the folding upright rack. Not needed?
