Lots of questions - help!!!

HI I have fallen in love with a E36 1995 Convertible.
It has some issues - and I am trying to decide if this is the one or to sit off to another (or save in the long term spending more.
Im hoping someone could give me an idea of what Im facing.
The rear brake light not working - is that whole unit or bulb?
The back seats are missing altogether - do non convertible ones go in? It will be expensive to find convertible Im aware.
The drivers side window glass is detached from the mechanism - is this a bix fix? ( I realise this may be a peice of string question but wondered if there was a common issue)
THe lid for the roof will not click in and lock - and when you push on it there is a whirring noise in the drivers side door - the roof will also go on the car manually only but the roof motor seems to intermittently give it a go.
I am happy to take to autoelectician and the current owner will let me - but can any auto electician help or need a specialist?

Im sorry for all the questions - I haveno mechanical knowledge and am doing a car up for a cancer council fundraiser (mystery box rally) I woudl be very grateful for any and all advice
Thank you

Do you mean all of them? There is one brake light in the fixture on the trunk lid and brake lights in both tail lights.

No, coupe or sedan rear seats will not fit. They are too wide. Convertible rear seats are narrowed because the convertible top mechanism sticks further into the rear seat area than the coupe/sedan bodywork.

The drivers side window glass is detached from the mechanism - is this a bix fix? ( I realise this may be a peice of string question but wondered if there was a common issue)

It's a pain in the posterior working on the side windows. Cramped space and working blind part of the time, but it can be done. Get a Bentley Service manual and dive in. They have it covered pretty much step by step.

THe lid for the roof will not click in and lock - and when you push on it there is a whirring noise in the drivers side door - the roof will also go on the car manually only but the roof motor seems to intermittently give it a go.

Here is a link to the troubleshooting and repair of E36 convertible tops.

Specialist if you aren't going to do it yourself.

If you're thinking about buying an E36 Cabrio (convertible), the top's not working perfectly, and you're not both mechanically and electrically savvy, walk away from it.
If you can't to do the work yourself the cost to repair a top can exceed the value of the car.
