Android Auto

Why doesn't BMW offer Android Auto. If there were 80% Drivers used Only Apple, n then that's Okay. I don't think that's the case. I not getting a car (Luxury Car that is) without at least all the techs that's available in Hyundai and Mazda Models.

I bet BMW AG (the mothership in Munich) has signed an exclusivity agreement with Apple. That means for x number of years BMW AG has promised not to allow android apps on its in car entertainment systems. Just my hunch. Itís all about the $/Ä.

Nope. They've said in so many words that they simply don't want Android Auto in the car. BMW wants control of the in-car customer experience/interface as part of their brand identity. Rightly or wrongly, they believe Android impedes that in several important ways.

Considering BMW uses Google Maps as the nav backbone you'd wonder why....
