7 Series - G11 / G12 (2016 - current)
The next generation G11/G12 BMW 7 Series flagship forum. Unveiled June 10th, with production starting in August the 6th generation 7 Series comes in a light weight package with extensive use of BMW i carbon fiber technology. The interior quality raises the bar with a touch screen and gesture controlled infotainment system. Exterior styling has been a sticking point with mixed reviews so far.

You thought the new 7 Grille was big? Check this out

This is the new redesigned 2020 Genesis G90 and its giant front grille makes the 7's look small in comparison. The G90 is supposed to compete with the S-class and 7 series. It's msrp is around 75K and that's basically fully loaded. What do you think?

I think the Genesis grille is utterly hideous. Even worse than the Lexus monstrosities. Makes the LCI 7 series look beautiful. Ok, not beautiful, but not so bad. Have had mine for a month now and I am getting used to it.

I really like the LCI 7 series. The car has a much bigger presence on the road. I am strongly considering custom ordering a 740i and leasing it, but the lease deals on it aren't great right now. When I saw the metallic grey high gloss wood trim paired with the cognac leather interior my jaw dropped.

Not too bad to me.

From another forum...

MSRP (including 995 destination)--103595
Discount--12000 + 1000 conquest

Monthly payment = 1339 (this includes taxes)

With 10k miles and at the end of December it could be closer to $1,000 per month. Would have to be dealer stock though.

The msrp of the 740i I built online is around $98K. Hopefully, deals will get better in 2020 when the new S-class comes out. Canada gets the M-sport pack on the 7 as a no cost option. Maybe they'll do that for the US for the 2021 model year.

Mein Auto: From BMWs to Porsches
I recently spotted an LCI 7, grey with all trim in black, and the car really impressed with that aggressive appearance. Admittedly, however, it looked a bit front heavy. In all honesty I think BMW, like most other car makers, is placing most resources into SUV-like versions going forward. There was a stunning X7 featured at the LA Auto show with lots of features like 3-row seating and alcantera and leather everywhere that had a placard offering a 36 month lease at $1100/mo. BTW, BMW also was displaying an L7 in a blue/green paint that defied imagination.

I have no need for the large X7, but when I built one online it was a little over $10K LESS than a comparably equipped 740i Xdrive, which doesn't make sense to me. You would think the X7 would cost more than a 7 series.

Plus you can still get options like Integral Active Steering and Active Comfort Drive with Road Preview on the X7. The one downside is, even though they both have the same engine, the X7 is a full second slower 0-60 compared to the 740i Xdrive.
