2011 750 LiX shift (maybe tranny?) problem

On my 2011 750 LiX I'm having an issue with shifting. Primarily from 1-2. I'm get some clunkiness. Seems like it's shifting ok, but having a few bumps while it's happening. It happens more when cold. It doesn't happen all the time. It doesn't happen if I'm driving slow. Only when I punch it a little. If I punch it a lot, it rarely happens. Any clue on what this may be? I have already tried an adaption reset. I'm thinking my next step is a diagnosis or software update. Both cost $175 a piece. I have no codes coming up. I'm puzzled and so is my mechanic.

I figured it out! It was my transfer case. Replaced it and I'm all good. Car drives better than ever. This after I did the coils and plugs, changed tranny fluid, cleaned injectors, and spent hundreds on diagnosis. It was the damn transfer case all along!

Was the transfer case motor or actuator damaged? Did you have to replace the entire transfer case or just components, and how much did it cost. I have a 2011bmw 750ix and I'm having the same issue. No lights on the dash but it stutters when it shifts from 1st to 2nd gear, also before stopping the vehicle. Any info will help. Thanks
