Vent issues

Here is a weird one. No hot air from passenger vents. The dash vents on the driver side warm air, passenger, cold no matter what I set it at

Any ideas?

Check the water valve assembly. Feel the hoses coming out - they should ALL be hot when the HVAC is calling for hot. If one pipe is cool, that's your problem. The valves are supposed to be open when there is no power, and the solenoids cycle closed to pulse warm water to the heater core. If the solenoid is stuck closed you get no heat.

Hose 5 is supply, 2 and 3 are outlets to the heater.

Fixed on Mine

I had the same problem. cool air on the drivers side. I just replaced the water valve and now it is just as hot on the drivers side as the passenger side.

Cool. I get it now. Hot coolant to valve and the split in half for the driver and passenger. Will fix if my passengers start to complain.

HCV fail for the orifice becoming clogged by disintegrating seals in the valve that circulate through the coolant system and can cause damage wherever they might. The HCV orifices are the only 'strainers' in the system. BMW hint hint hint

Did you scan codes? It could also be a stuck flap, there's a few in the duct work to do the splitting. A code readout would tell you if one is malfunctioning.
