I don't haul many things at all, so it fits the groceries just fine Other large items are reserved for the minivan. Oh.. it fits two large pieces of luggage no sweat though. Not a ton of room extra for more. I bet if I flipped them sideways I could do 3?

I just drove an x4 28i. Not impressed. A friend recommended the x2 m35. They didnít have any on site. Interested. I am coming from a 335i coupe. Itís hard to let it go. I love the feel of the road. But kind of want a slightly higher ride

There are a lot of folks that came from 330/340 and even m3 that are quite happy.

I am hoping so. As I said. I didnít have an opportunity to drive the x4 m40. Iím thinking the v6 and sport package would make the difference. Mixed YouTube reviews of the driving experience for the x2 35.

I know itís not going to be a 1-1 transition. Since i love the road stick around corners, I looked up the skid tests vs my 335. I was impressed with the x4 40.

X2 had the same numbers from C&D.

I'm not a big fan of the size of the x3/4 so it didn't even come into the picture, besides the fact that you can really only get base for the same money as the m35i. I would definitely recommend seeking one out. I've got 11k miles on mine and it has been awesome, even got to drive it on a track in SC where it handled extremely well.

Good point on the price gap.

I looked at the x3 because of the rear wheel bias awd and built on the 3 series chassis. But wasnít a fan of the high top look. I like the low slung look of the x2 but no 6 cylinder option and front wheel bias awd. Then My beloved wife said something about the x4. Wasnít even on my radar.

I asked an old (bmw yoda knowledge base) about the x3/4. He did question the additional weight added to the 3 series skeleton that may not help longevity. (Opinion) Knowing my small size preferences, He ended up recommending I look at the x2 m35i. He has a tweaked 235.

I came from a 2013 335 with a stick. i really like the X2 M35. Handles great, faster than my last car, much easier to get in and out of as an older dude with back issues. Seats are nicer than my stock 3 series. find one, drive it, don't blame me if you buy it. 2 complaints to be fair, no blind spot indicator and no android auto. If you read about acceleration issues or fit and finish my car has neither issue. this car checks all my boxes, fast, safe, not as low to the ground, Mrs. Rounderman likes it too (critical in my house)

good hunting

Extremely helpful. Now on to find an available m35

I drove an x2 m35 today. The acceleration was there. It need a moment to boost, but after that itís strong and gets the job done.

The size of the x2 is appealing. The nimble feel (lack of x3/4 weight) was apparent. I would have liked a rear biased drive feel in the the x2, but that could be my endless video reviews of the car. It did feel like it was pulling vs pushing. Anyone else notice this?

Anyway, I think the x2 may win out given the slight height increase and manageable size that I was after.

Iíll probably wait until the spring before making a move.

Thanks for the input on this thread.

The X2 definitely has a more pull than a push feel because of the bias, but honestly it really hooks up and gets going! I still completely enjoy driving the car every day.. wish I had more chances to open 'er up and to hit some twisties.. maybe next year in the spring/summer.

You are correct. It did indeed get up and go. Even at highway speeds.
