tire pressures for NON RF on 335X1/340Xi

My Michelin AS3+ all seasons are great. 225/45 18s. Handling is quite nice with adaptive suspension in sport mode on 2014 335Xi. But I thought the recommended (cold) 32 F/38 R was way too disparate even with the OEM Run Flats and certainly now.

I am happy with 33-34 F/37-38 R which helps with turn in and there is absolutely no concern with the tail breaking loose. Strange BMW is so cautious by recommending such a disparity favoring such higher Rear tire pressure.

What do you guys run?

Charlie

I've always run @ BMW recommended inflation pressures +3psi ... Your specific BMW & installed original equipment tire sizes should be your guide. Slight over-inflation is OK ... the inflation difference F to R determined by BMW engineering is OK with me. That's what we pay the big bucks for!

+1 on the +3. Runflats on my staggered setup (225/40/19 + 255/35/19) were good at recommended 35/38. Same pressures felt a little squishy on my new non rf. 38/41 is perfect.
