E36 AA Kit budget build Stock HG?

Picked up a older Active stage 1 kit. I know these things only produce around 300-350 hp.

Came with everything needed except some oil fittings and a modified motor mount.

Was hoping to mount this without cracking the head gasket yet. If i ended up getting bored i could go later and upgrade to a copper cut ring and a few other parts to go above the 10psi 400hp mark if i ever desired it.

97 M3 with 100k, thought was with a tune was hoping to get away with a turbo build for about 2kish, 300-350 hp, 8+-PSI, low compression tune. Nice daily sleeper with enough power to keep up with some newer cars.

Anyone here running a stock HG?

I'm not yet but I'm been doing so much reading. General consensus is that stock block is good for 8psi. After that you're running into HG issues. Giving how tired the motor must be I wouldn't even dare go higher than that u less you want to know the limit.

If you do tear it open. High hp guys are all going with time-serts for head bolts. As the head starts to lift after 400hp. Everyone who does time serts plus an MLS hg seems to be having no issues
