The higher the series number, then it should be bigger. It's just pure common sense that every other car company honors. BMW has deceitful marketing tactics.
All of you are wrong! The answer is it depends on how fast a 3 series and 4 series are moving relative to a particular observer. If I'm sitting still in my 4 series at a stop light and a 3 series driver cruises by at near the speed of light, his car will appear much shorter.
Basic physics - come on people!!!!
