dual exhaust f36 m sport?
has anyone done a dual exhaust install on a 2016 f36 m sport? I believe all I need is a rear diffuser and that seems pretty easy to remove. Have any suggestions on where I can get the correct diffuser for this? I am wanting to install the m sport exhaust if it's compatible...i saw a utube video where the guy actually cut out his rear bumper and that seems ridiculous.

Bimmerfest is not a site that is "into" making the lower model (like your 428) look like the high end model (quad exhaust = M4). For people at this site, it looks like "posing" and trying to make the car look like something its not.
Here, its thought of the same as taking off your 428 Badge and slapping on an M4 badge. Bimmerpost might be more accepting of this type of thing, so maybe you might have more luck asking over there.

Hopefully someone here has an answer to the OP's question. He likes the look of the dual exhaust which is fine.

I've got no problem with this sort of mod (as it does look better), as long as people aren't debadging to try to carry the appearance to the level of deception (lame).

correct, 435,440 dual exhaust is what i'm looking for, not being a "poser" as above is assuming.

1st.. I dont care about this topic. I am a firm believer that a person can do whatever they want to with their own car as long as its legal. This is obviously legal so, I dont care about it personally. 2nd. I have been around bimmerfest a while, and my post was a reflection of what I have seen while here on this site. As I mentioned, in general (at least in the past) people on THIS site did not take too kindly to swapping parts that make one BMW look like the higher trim. For some reason, I read "dual exhaust" as quad tip exhaust, so used the M4 comparison. Dual exhaust is (as OP confirmed) making a 428 look like a 435/440. The other part of my post would still apply, since putting dual exhaust on a 428 would make it look like a 435 (a higher trim). I was simply trying to point the OP to a website that might be more friendly to such a thing (bimmerpost has seemed to be open to that). It was not an attempt to slander the OP, and sorry if he took it that way. In any case, good look with your upcoming mod.

I agree with the others here. While I would not do it (my personal preference if I were to do anything would be to go the other direction) it is YOUR car and within reason (e.g., removing the catalytic converter does impact me and others who have to breathe the air) you can do whatever you like with it. Changing the number of exhaust outlets and the style doesn't impact on me.
