First aid kit and triangle?

The manual mentions that the first aid kit and warning triangle should be in the under trunk lid storage box. The manual also has an asterisk next to it, seeming to indicate that it is either optional or not available in all markets.

I'm wondering if it might just be that I took delivery at the PC that mine wasn't delivered with it. Does anyone have these on a US F10?

As far as I can tell no cars delivered to the US have that stuff. In return we get a car for 25% - 50% less than it costs in most other markets.

You have to go to BMW Welt in person to receive a complimentary triangle and first aid kit.

That's what I figured. More cost cutting. Well, at least I've kept the flashlight from my X5.

You can easily get both from ebay along with the other Tuv mandated items like the warning vest or even the fire extinguisher. A few sites (esc tuning) sell the f.a. kit box as well, if your interested. Check the link in my sig for pics of a couple of these.

Of course mine are for the e46, but sooner or later they should pop up on ebay, if you like them. Hopefully you'll never have to use either.
