newbie with lease question

Hi everyone. I'm looking to lease a bmw 328i coupe anytime soon. I contacted my closest dealer and here is what they offered me

2012 328i coupe
Auto, M sport package + premium package

36 months lease

545/mo plus tax with $1120 DRIVE OFF’S DUE
Residual value = 60%

Money factor = 00145

acquisition fee = $925

Mileage allowance = 10,000/year

Do you think it's a good deal ?

I would pass on the Auto in that car.

This sounds really high for a 10k year lease.

1. What is the cap cost on the car? Leases, just like buying, you must negotiate the sale price of the car. So how much over invoice are you paying for the car? This sounds like barely any discount from msrp.
2. The acq fee is bumped up.
3. Look up and read about multiple security deposits - using those will shave $50 a month off your payments.
4. How is it only $1100 in drive off fees? They must be rolling a bunch into your lease which costs you far more in the end. Usually on a lease your first check covers:
-Acquisition fee
-Doc fees
-first month's payment
-license fees
- security deposit

They're rolling that all into your payment - which means you're paying interest on extra fees. This dealer is making extra on you in many directions.

Mein Auto: 2015 335i and 2014 X3 35i
For a 328i right now you should get at least 40 dollars less per month.

Invoice= $43,340

The other dealership told me the lease is based on msrp not the invoice

if the lease is based on msrp then i would laugh in their face and walk out. tell them 500 over invoice or you are going to the next dealer

+1

And it's a Coupe in the dying months of its life cycle, a better negotiation is due here. I'd say $100 too high, actually.

Build it on bmwconfig. you'll know the exact price. Also, you're in Orange County? Then use a board sponsor like Greg Poland or Jon Shafer. They'll give you a great price without these games.

So partial truth depending on what the dealer actually said...

The residual is based on the MSRP, but the CAP Cost (what the car actually costs) should not be at MSRP. No way, now how.

+1 on the OP message contact Greg at Pacific who is right up the street from you. Best price and no games.
