diesel glow plug filament stuck.

Hello,

So basically my glow plug's screwing mechanism has broken off and only the filament remains in the glow plug's place. It is impossible to remove it I have tried with spraying tons of penetrating oils and using pliers. I have tried to remove it while the engine was very hot but it still won't come out.

Anybody know any ways to remove such filament that's stuck like that?

P.S. Please see the pictures. https://imgur.com/a/nga2Dyi

Iíve never seen a glow plug so Iím not sure what Iím looking at.

Are you showing a normal glow plug in the first two photos then in the engine just the electrode down the middle of a glow plug that broke off?

I would try a few things :

1; some impact eg a hammer tapping on the end to shock things loose
2; heat applied with a torch
3; tighten first: a tiny bit clockwise
4; break out the electrode and treat like a broken off bolt, using bolt extractor.

Keep track of all the pieces so you can be confident none are left in the cylinder. Use an otoscope or similar to view in the cylinder.
