Headlamp levelling device broke MOT fail

Hello

Im new to this forum

Ive spent 800 getting my car fixed as I want to sell it and its failed its MOT now. Kwik fit say I need a whole new headlight to fix this. They quoted over 500. Does anyone know if this is true and what headlight I would need even if its a secondhand one.

Thank you

Yep, from what you've told us, it is true. There lots of fiddly gadgets needed to make self-leveling headlights, only one needs to break.

What exactly broke? For 500 pounds you could replace both headlights with a set of Dopo headlights from fishcake321 on fleabay that come complete with the auto-leveling parts.

You need to look into the matter further to try and establish what, if anything, is broken in the headlight or if it is a failure in the wiring of the automatic adjusting system or even the signal from the computer.
