F10 / F11 (2011 - 2016)
The sixth generation of the BMW 5 Series Sedan (F10) was produced from 2011 - 2016 with LCI updates arriving in 2014. In the US BMW offered a hatchback 5 Series Gran Truismo (F07) and the rest of the world also go a Station Wagon/Touring version F11.

Is suspension on F10 covered by CPO ?

Hi guys,

I have some kind of a very little noise with low speed when I am turning left the steering wheel on my 535i. I guess it is probably from bushing or control arm. I still have close to a year CPO so my main question is if that should be covered with the BMW dealers even if I have to pay some kind of deductible.

If it is bushings, rubber is usually not covered under a CPO warranty. Give it a shot with the dealer.

I had an issue with my right front wheel making a strange grinding noise when turning and at slow speeds for a while. Turned out to be a bad right engine mount, which was also not covered under the CPO warranty.

Good luck.

I went to the BMW of West Houston dealer and SA told me that if it is bushing or other part of suspension it is not CPO covered. He told me that they need to make a complete check that is going to cost me $ 160 that money I will not pay if I agree to do the repair with them. He advice me to go for drive test with one of his test drivers and looks like we never heard that noise again. The test driver told me I don't have to go for that check and pay $ 160 because they might even not find anything and that will be waste of money but drive like that and if the noise appear again and become worse go from there. Tomorrow i will go to a buddy of mine who is mechanic to check underneath but if I have to do any repair for suspension I am not going to the dealer, there are a too many very good independent shops here in Houston area that are servicing european cars.
