Instrument Cluster blank

Instrument cluster is dark (not showing anything in the bottom portion like the time, odometer, mpg, etc).

Fine yesterday. Not working this morning. Or at lunch. Or after work.

Hopefully it is something simple like a fuze.

I'm headed out of town this weekend for veteran's day and a doctor's appointment. So since there is a BMW dealership there (there isn't one where I live), I'll drop it off Saturday to have them look at it.

And take the opportunity to have my EGR Cooler recall repaired.

Just went over 79,000 miles this week

FWIW, I'm told by dealership that the problem is a programming issue, and it needs reprogramming.

Odd that it can just change day to day. But a couple years ago I had to have some programming done to fix the cover for the sunroof that would close then bump open again. And I've heard of issues with the windows.
