My car went into production last week on 11/5, but I still can't track the VIN number at bmwarchive.org and the rep on the line has told me that the assembly process hasn't actually started yet (body shop, paint shop, etc.) yet it's scheduled for production completion on 11/13th, 2 days from today. Is this normal?

Nevermind, went to body shop today. I guess all they require is 1 day assembly time and the rest is just waiting in queue.

I'm picking up my car Friday. In case anyone's interested in the time frame, here it is. Ordered 9/27, built 10/16, shipped to port 10/18, departed port 10/25, arrived Bayonne,NJ approx. 11/8, had black grill put on there, dealership says they got it 11/17, and I'll get it 11/21.

We have two autos traveling from Bremehaven to ultimately S Florida. The first vessel the Columbia Highway landed in Baltimore a few days ago. Does it then travel to Brunswick, Ga or are the cars off loaded for final transport by rail or truck?
Isn't it easier for the autos to stay on the ship or is Brunswick a port for W and W ships only.
The customer service rep at bmw wasn't positive but seemed to think that the autos off load at Baltimore.
Has anyone received their cars from Jacksonville or Brunswick.
Would really appreciate the input.

Mine is on Metis, too. But looking on tracking sites it looks like the ship is traveling east through the Panama Canal today. Wonder where it's going before turning around to go west.
