F10 / F11 (2011 - 2016)
The sixth generation of the BMW 5 Series Sedan (F10) was produced from 2011 - 2016 with LCI updates arriving in 2014. In the US BMW offered a hatchback 5 Series Gran Truismo (F07) and the rest of the world also go a Station Wagon/Touring version F11.

Scratched my F10 passenger side front rim at a store i really hate to be at...

Pulled into a parking spot at stupid Walmart. Didn't occur to me to take notice of the side curb. Came back, idiotically reserved while turning to the left. Needless to say, i heard a loud scratching sounds and immediately knew what i've just done. Im so pissed off. The curb paint is stuck in there and everything. How much does the dealer typical charge to fix things like this? I like in Orange County, NY.

I donít know what local dealer charges, but my local indi charges $50 to $150 depending on severity of damage. I scratched the left front rim and it cost $70 to repair which included painting. I canít tell it was damaged.

Interesting....Thought it was going to be more expensive. Thanks for the data point. Did you notice any color difference?

Here in San Francisco Bay Area: Shops have quoted me, touch up $80 and full reconditioned $185 per wheel. I think a touch up is very close but not 100% exact. Full reconditioned is powder coated, if you service one wheel it might not exactly match the others since they use ready made colors.

Curbed my brand new front passenger wheel less than 24 hours after install. Fixed by a local shop for $80. In the right light, I can kind of see where the repair was, but that's also because I know where to look. I still shake my head every time I think of it, but at least the wheel looks good!

Another positive repair story. I also scratched a wheel for the first time in about 20 years! My dealer has a wheel fix team every few days. Cost $150, and could not tell the wheel was fixed. I was very impressed.

I never take my BMW's to Walmart, because of the Walmatians. I live in a tourist area with a Super Walmart right in the center of it. Tourists are bad enough for having a propensity for vandalism. But, Walmartian tourists are more so. As long as I have a BMW, I will have another car as a beater.
