This was the first time I remember seeing the break out of F30/F31/E92/E93 sales.

The decline in coupe sales is like 4,000 units, the high percentages are decieving.
Lets say half or third of it relates to US

BMW mainly boasts about percentages in media, not units. So the E92/E93 drop as far as percentages are substantial.

The 3 sales year to date in the US, the gap has been shrinking each month, it was -10.x last month, -8.5 this reported month. So the fact that it's doing that while the E92/E93 is dragging it down a bit shows the F30 itself is doing it's job. The US sales do not reflect the wagons and 320's which are trickling into dealers as we speak. I think soon we can say good bye to the - in front of those numbers.

I wonder why BMW groups X1 with sedans and coupes and if the decrease is a trend accross the industry or specific to BMW. F30 continues to slide as well.

There was no X1 in NA so it is shown as such in the first schedule, the 2nd one shows it as it had been sold for nearly two years elsewhere. BMW would not want to group it with the cars as the -30% would look terrible. If it helps, they will group it later on lol.

Same here.

Thing to remember is that the landscape has changed markedly from 2005 and the E46 to E90 transition. Audi was bland, Mercedes was useless, there was no 1 Series, there was no X1 and BMW crushed it out of the park, had a huge lead for years.

Times are different now. Mercedes C got serious, Audi A4 got less Volkswagen-like, and BMW is cannibalizing its own 3 Series sales by diversifying its line. The fact that the F30 is comping up at all is a tremendous accomplishment in light of the competition now.

True that. 320 will soon be the next Accord, Camry or Taurus.

We all get the fact that you don't like me and you bought the wrong car.

Do us all a favor and avoid me, the stalking is getting tiresome for everyone.

Enjoy your posts, when its just you going at BJ, not so much. If you mutually ignored each other, it would be for the betterment of the forum.

Going at BJ by anyone, is usually not for enjoyment, only entertainment.

As far as what is better for the forum, I don't try to make the decision for others.

If BMW sales continue to grow at the current rate by the year 2110 BMW will sell 12 Billion cars.

The UN estimates that the world population in 2110 will be 10.5 billion so in 2110 everyone on earth will own at least one new BMW.

The question is at that point will BMW still be a status symbol?

I can understand his animosity towards BJ as many of us have the same, but you're right, it is better to just ignore him - tough as that is sometimes!

Unfortunately even if you put BJ on ignore, BJ's posts will be quoted by someone, and you will be forced to see them in quotes even if you try to ignore BJ.

Although I don't know if you also ignore someone who likes to quote BJ, obviously you will not see that person's posts, but are you nevertheless forced to see BJ's posts that are quoted by such a person that you try to ignore?

Sorry, I should use for the above before someone takes offense of it.

Putting someone like BJ on ignore would make this place read like a boring nerds-only tech manual. It is akin to giving bimmerfest a floaty suspension and numb steering.

So in other words if I put BJ on ignore I will turn Bimmerfest into an F30.

BJ obviously loves his F30 Lux, with a floaty suspension and numb steering. So basically you are saying we should all ignore him so he can have his cake and eat it too?

I thought using the ignore button is some sort of punishment, not reward.
