Staggered Offset Help

Looking to put a staggered setup on my 2011 x5.

I know the factory sizing/offset is:
20x10 ET40 Front
20x11 ET37 Rear

Selection with those specs seems very limited (Maybe it's a Canada thing).

I'm looking between 2 almost identical styles of rims.

Braelin BR10
20x9 - ET25 and ET 38
20x10.5 - ET20, ET30 and ET40

Niche Gamma M224
20x9 ET35
20x10.5 ET35

My instinct is telling me to go with:
20x9 ET25
20x10.5 ET30

This will give more inner clearance and extend both front and back by an extra 2mm. Not having a staggered setup right now, I'm not sure if that extra 2mm is going to cause any clearance issues.

Looking for advice from people with experience.

the factory offset is already pretty aggressive. Not sure extending even more will look right.

I'm not sure 2mm will visually make a difference which is why that's my first instinct. I'm more concerned with rubbing.

The other options (ie: ET38/ET40 or ET35) will pull them inwards between 8-12mm which is almost half an inch. That will visually be noticeable, which may not be a terrible thing either if I don't do the extended flares. But then my worry would be more with rubbing on the inside. The rims will have clearance, but will that half inch cause the inner tire to rub?

Different wheel widths.
20x10 ET40
20x9 ET25

The ET25 on a 9" rim will give 28mm more clearance on the strut side and push the outer edge of the rim outwards by 2mm

ET38 on a 9" rim will give 15mm more clearance on the strut side and retract the outer edge of the rim inwards by 11mm

But now as I'm typing this out I'm thinking it's not really the rim positioning that matters it's more the tire positioning that will affect rubbing. If the rim is 1" narrower, then there probably should be about 1/2" less on each side to keep the tire position in the same spot. By lining up the outer edge of the wheels then the tire will end up sticking out another 1/2".

This is why I need an offset expert, I'm just getting myself confused LOL

Alright I think I found a good calculator with graphs

Fronts:
https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whe...cl=30mm&sr=0mm

Rears:
https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whe...cl=30mm&sr=0mm

By going 20x9 ET38 in the front, while the position of the rim changes by a lot, the outer position of the tire should only extend by 2mm

By going 20x10.5 ET40 in the rear, the outer position of the tire will retract by 3mm giving 3mm less clearance to the suspension.

I assume the factory setup will allow for more than 2-3mm of clearance in either direction so I'm assuming I should be OK?
