Stop Sale X1

I heard from a client advisor, that the X1 has a stop sale from a recall right now. Is this true? We just got a new one last month and have not received any notifications.

OE is Original Equipment aka 'BMW Original Parts' aka 'What you buy at the BMW dealer with a BMW label'

OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer... EITHER the company that made the OE part or.... A part this is identical to the OE part, but is sold by the OEM under their own label

OEM is not what BMW sells

I just got an X2 M35 and some of them had stop sales as well. It had to do with certain taillights that were not installed poperly as I recall. If you are really concerned call your dealer or check one of the many recall websites. based on what I have read through these forums it happens and is fixed. good luck

1. A stop sale does not necessarily mean there is a recall

2. A stop sale today (if due to a recall) doesnt mean a car sold a month ago will also be subject to the same recall.

3. CAs lie and make up BS for all kinds of reasons...to feel important, because they confuse a stop sale 5 months ago with one car with another... who knows.

4. There was an X1 stop sale in February, around a taillight bracket. This thread was started in May.

5. It is possible that the CA is breaking news with his comment...before anyone has ever posted anything anywhere, such that nothing shows up on google. I doubt it

6. OP is asking 'is there a stop sale on the X1?". Not about recalls...not about how to look up recalls on his car.

my 2 cents.

It has to do with B-pillar safety issue according to consumer report:

'Only' 106,000 vehicles affected. That won't hurt.
