Post what question? You seem really confused and just became a waste of my time. Fortunately the OP is not confused at all.

I have also rented cars in Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Malta, Spain, France, Switzerland, South Africa, Australia, and Germany multiple times through out the years and just have to show my US drivers license.
Totally agree. Big waste of money and time. I've been traveling and driving throughout Europe a couple of times a year since the mid-70's and never ever had to show one. It's a standardized form that supposedly translates your American license into the visiting country's language. Like a cop can't figure out what your name, city and DOB is by looking at the American license. I've been stopped for speeding, going up a one way street, suspicious activity near the West German-East German border and going right on red (not legal over there) and none of the police that stopped me wanted to see the IDL.

I’m a 1.4 MM on Delta. Very impressive.

When I was traveling for work, I was Diamond with DL, 1K with UA and ExPlt on AA (all in the same year), best year was 270K BIS (butt in seat)miles. Between Amex, Citi and Chase, I have well over 3.5 million points, this is not including airline miles. Most of my status comes from segments.

My hobby is collecting points.

Wow! I aggregate most of my travel on UA since they've bestowed liftetime 1K from 3MM and liftetime United Club from 2MM. My goal when I retire is not pay for many flights, and burn through the 3.7M United points I've accumulated from 30+ years of 1K

My BIS is usually 125K; can't imagine 270K...people that ring the bell via segments are true road warriors.

I was sent to "smooth "over angry clients, and at times would visit 4-5 cities a week, I'm lifetime PLT with SPG.

Sounds like Bimmerfest has transitioned to FlyerTalk.
