In the past it used to be just kids playing games

Now every where you look someone is playing with some sort of device. People will actually find a place to stand or sit and just play games. In the old days we just played games at home when we were young. This dude stood next to Nine West for about 30 minutes if not longer playing a game on his Iphone. The new addiction is here

On the Metro and on the bus many here will miss their stops because they were playing video games on their Iphone, phone or other smartphone if not their Sony PSP.

You got close enough to be able to tell he was playing a game without him spotting you? Haha. Ninja-style.

Got to also take in account that hes in Asia. People sit or stand every where and any where and play PSP wirelessly all day or things on there phones.
Video games are a much bigger deal there then they are here. It's considered a professional sport to be good at games there and girls only like you if your good at them there to:P. ( no joke ).

Exactly. If I'm waiting on someone - like my wife in a store - I play a game on my blackberry as there's not much else to do.

That's truly disgusting. I hope you don't speak like that when you're in the company of human beings. If so, let it be a locker room. OK, etiquette class is over.

What old days are you talking about?

I used to have all of these and would play them when I was out at various places when I was a kid.

One of the Bubba's in my lunch group is 30 years old. He's stuck to his phone. Al lunch, he sits his phone up on a stand so he can look at it while eating.

I was a pinball wizard in my yoot. I could put a quarter in and play as long as I wanted on some machines.

In college, I was the champion of Atari Red Baron. ARB was a big deal because it had a moving horizon, which took a lot off math processing. One of my college buddies was a USMC helicopter pilot in Vietnam, coming back to finish his BSME. It really bothered him when I'd whoop him at ARB. I'd ask him if he wanted me to use my left or right hand. ARB's score went to 100,000 in ten point increments. My best score was just over 284,000, almost turning it over three times. Unlike pinball, you couldn't earn more games, though. ARB would let the top ten scorers put their initials and scores up on the screen. I made sure the ARB in the student hall always said:

AP 99990
AP 99990
AP 99990
AP 99990
AP 99990
AP 99990
AP 99990
AP 99990
AP 99990
AP 99990

I'd get to 99990 and then crash all my remaining planes.

They'd reset my initials and scores when the collected the money out of the machine. It'd cost me another $2.50 to put them back.

This guy sucks at ARB.

Woody, is that you? Ha, ha.

The graphs tell the whole story. I didn't read, I didn't need to after seeing the graphs.

The last ones are just sad.

The 30 year old addicted to his phone was talking to a late-40-something about vintage video games. "Did you play such-and-such back in the '80's?"

The 40 something had a good response...

"No. Back in the 1980's I spent all of my free time eating *****."
