Tires and ED

OK, I visited a Porsche dealer today...I know, I know...I am set on the M4 but sanity checks dont hurt...

When I was there they told me if I wanted to do ED that I had to do it before Oct 1 because the laws in Germany require All season or winter tires and they wont deliver a car after Oct 1 with summer tires due to this.

So I look on the build site for BMW, the M4 simply says "mixed performance" I assume Mixed means staggered...performance could mean anything although one would assume Summer.

Am I going to have issues taking delivery in October or any winter month?

Thanks

From what others posted, BMW will deliver European delivery cars with any tires any month. For a 75 Euro fee, they will flat bed tow the car to the dropout point. As the previous post shows, winter tires can be rented but the car has to be returned to Munich

The car doesn't have to be returned to Munich just because you have rented ED Winter Tires. For an extra charge, you can have them pick up your car at your hotel or the airport in any city within the EU: http://edwintertires.com/drop_off.htm
