Air Suspension e70 3.0si 2009 (2008 model year)

Investigating failure of rear air suspension failure. Car is down on the stops on both sides. No history from PO.
1. No DTC codes.
2. All fuses intact.
3. Have pulled and reinstalled relay. 4.Compressor does not run with ignition on/door opening.
5. With car jacked up to get access to compressor removed connectors to check for supply.
A) 5.3v across two pins of valve block connector.
B) no supply to motor (under ign on/door open etc)
C) no supply to solenoid/valve on accumulator chamber.
When I removed the connector to the solenoid valve/ accumulator water dripped out. So I removed the solenoid valve from the accumulator and it was very wet dripping inside. Investigating further I removed the accumulator chamber and found it to be full of wet desiccant. Does this suggest that there has been a leak resulting in the motor running for an extended period of time and creating water from condensate? Does this make sense?
1. Would you normally expect to have 12v on the supply to the motor?
2. Is the 5.3v on the valve block a signal from the level sensors/control module?
3. Anyone else seen something similar with the desiccant in the accumulator?
4. Any tests I can run on this? Put 12v across motor and see if it runs? Put 12v across solenoid valve on accumulator tank?
Thanks in Advance.

Note I’m expecting to replace airbags, have some on order, but want to have a running compressor before they arrive.

Have tested relay and operates correctly.
Have disassembled compressor and found more water and three corroded/seized bearings on the motor that appear to have been a consequence of the water. Wondering if this can all be condensate or if the PO flooded the car. No other obvious sign of water damage.

Update on progress. Replaced airbags, compressor now operational fingers crossed that when I reinstall the suspension will be operational.

Suspension now operational with new compressor. Winding burnt out on old motor unit (likely result of seized compressor).
