E82 / E87 / E88 / F20 1 Series (2008 - 2014)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

Headlight issue

Hi. I have a 135i with a problem with the left headlight. The roving "eyes" on the headlight don't function so I continue to get the error code that something is wrong. Could this be the module for the light and are there different modules for this issue? Or do I need to replace the entire light for this problem. Thanks.

Hi. Is it possible to fix the "eyes" in a headlight or do I have to buy a née headlight. Thanks

Welcome to Bimmerfest! What is the specific code you're getting? My guess is the motor failed but the code might be more specific.

Do you have aftermarket angel eyes installed? It's a very common issue for use to see people who have aftermarket angel eye resistor packs block the movement of the dynamic headlight adjustment motors. If the sweep of the headlights is being interrupted, it will cause a headlight malfunction much like what you are describing.
