clear turn signal lenses

Looking to change to clear turn signal lenses for my 85 635csiA and get rid of the standard lenses that stick out. However the Klearz seem to be difficult, any suggestions? thanks.

I hear the Klearz have to be cut to size and glued and it's a frustrating process. Is there a vendor that supplies lenses that fit better? Are there any other difficulties I might encounter? Thanks.

For the rears, yes, but not the fronts. I don't know of any other alternative, though. The Euro front signals (orange) don't stick out like the US "Elephant ears".

Sorry, no experience with the Dinan chip as my car is an '85 Euro and I don't think they make one for that application. You might try your question on bigcoupe.com or bimmerdorums.com in the E24 forum.

My car is an 89 with auto trans. I got both Dinan motor and trans chip installed years ago. It works together, the chip for the motor gives you extra15-20 hp ? With the transmission chip, it shifts a bit later. If you switch the trans to "sport" mode, it really shifts later.

Great. That helps. I'm leaning towards going that route. Do you notice any adverse effects?

Not that I notice. I think the gas mileage is a bit better when I drive normal speed limits, esp on the highway long distances. I think Dinan stop manufacturing products for the E24's but not certain. if so, there are other chips out that people use. Good luck
