Quick question about brake booster/brake light switch relationship

I had several vacuum leaks and braking had seriously reduced boost. Took it in to local shop and they replaced booster and several hoses. Now brake lights are always on. I replaced all bulbs and fuse--still on. I have to think that they didn't re-adjust the switch after the job was done. Isn't removing the brake pedal arm from the brake booster job part of the process? Shop is insisting that the job of replacing the booster has nothing to do with brake light switch.

This procedure for replacing the booster specifically notes removing the brake switch for access during the repair.

This link describes installing and adjusting the switch

It looks to me like an easy DIY if you're at all handy.

Meantime, I'd start looking for another shop for any future repairs. They've told you a porkie about the repair procedure and then refuse to spend 2 minutes adjusting the switch to make a customer happy.

Thanks so much RDL! I appreciate the confirmation/validation as well as the helpful links! They did end up making the adjustment for no charge, but it the return was a pain, and you are right, it should have been right before it left the shop.
