duraflex bumper

Hey all,
Has anyone has any experience installing a Duraflex GT-S bumper for an e39? They don't have the rear bumper guides like the OEM's and I don't think the one's on the OEM bumper cover are removable. see pic below. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Carl's 540i

I think the M style bumper looks 10 times better.

This duraflex bumper looks out of place without the black moldings and the diffuser doesn't flow well with the straight lines of the rest of the car as well. Also I don't mind the side vents that much as long as there are other supporting aesthetic mods.

In my many years of searching through hundreds of aesthetic mod options I have yet to see any examples of one of these installed. But if you end up going this route definitely post pictures I'd be really curious.

Thanks for your reply and opinion b2ke! I saw the m5 bumpers but the all typically look the same and I like my 540i to look unique. I think this bumper gives the rear a more aggressive look and the diffuser is a nice touch because you don't see many e39's with those. I'll definitely post pics once I get it installed/painted. I may do the M5 bumper for the front.

Thanks,

That's awesome. I've been working on making my 540i stand out from the crowd as well. I installed a Hamman style rear window spoiler and m4 style trunk lip, both parts I have yet to see on any other E39. I've gotten mostly positive feedback although it is definitely not oem styling.

I'd love to see an update with pictures of your progress and the final result.

Cool! I actually have the rear window spoiler and trunk lip on mine too! lol I've gotten alot of complements on those too.I'm hoping the bumper brings out the rear even more. I'll definitely upload before and after pics once it's installed and painted
