Rear view mirrows.

Hi , some how I have (not deliberately) stopped my rear view mirrors from folding in when I lock the car? Can anyone help me how to reinstate this please ?

I will assume that you have a model that you can set this behavior in the iDrive and not some model that requires coding or perhaps the 2005 X5 4.4 in your sig . I had to code mine, but if the iDrive method is what you're looking for, see if this helps:

Rear vision Mirrors.

Hi barbja , many thanks for your help! Yes my car is a 2019 model has the I drive knob in the center. I followed the instructions no trouble , all working now. I don't know how I stopped it as it did used to shut the mirrors since I've had the car. I've never had such a Hi Tec car before and are a bit scared of fiddling to much in case I do something wrong ? Just love the car , love driving it but only do that once a week, it stays in the garage under a cover Sunday to Friday . Doesn't go out on wet days !!!!

I'm glad I could help! Having the mirrors fold in automatically is the major reason why I initially started coding my car. Once I learned how to do it, I just went to town doing all sorts of things. I'm really glad that they've moved the mirror function into the iDrive so that I don't have to mess with coding again.
