Non-operative Door handle opener

I have a 2014 328Xi with comfort access. Recently the inside door (both drivers and front passenger) have randomly failed to operate. The only way to get out of the vehicle is to push the dashboard lock button.

Is there a quick way to resolve this issue or is this a "quirk" of the comfort access that I have to live with.

Thank you

For both to do this it sounds electrical or fuse related. They are not looped together. I had one go out but the other one worked fine.

I would start with the fuse box in the trunk near the storage the move to the engine bay box and check for blown fuses. I think the fuse that runs that is in the trunk but I might be wrong. There is a schematics sheet with fuse numbers in the trunk as well.

The first thing that comes to mind is failing door lock actuators.

Had this happen on the passenger side door on my MY14 F31 a couple of years ago. I don't have CA on the car but you could pull the inside door handle when the door was locked and it would not unlock. The pin would go up and then go back down.

The dealer just replaced the actuator under warranty. Even without warranty it should be a pretty simple fix.

Odd that it is happening on both sides at the same time...
