Hey guy's,

I can't remember where I saw this, but someone posted a reply to another poster ages ago on a correct procedure for when working on BM's, especially, where electrics are concerned.

It was something like not pulling the neg till the car went into sleep mode.

Can anyone confirm this.

Plus if you are going to do this, with car unlocked etc boot open, will car ever go into sleep mode ?

txs again guys

Hey txs man, I did some more searching prior and I saw a post on a bimmer forum,
that you should let the car go to sleep mode, about 15 minutes, before disconnecting the neg
now that being said, on 2 occasions I have not done that,
and not read any BMW tis's on the subject
but I would now probably err on the side of caution

but txs dude !

of course there is , I agree, personally, if you pull the neg lead of fast and correctly, should not spike enough to cause an issue, but, yeah beer me and then pull it LOL:thumbup:
