E63 / E64 6 Series (2004 - 2010)
The E63/E64 BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations.

2006 650i convertible. The radio will play with the key fob in and the battery on but when I start the car the radio goes quiet even though I didn't mute it. What's the cause? There's a couple times where it works while I'm driving but I don't see a pattern so far. I just got the car and I'm excited but music is a must. Also, how can I play music from my phone? This model has Bluetooth for like calls and stuff but no music.

It sounds like your battery is in need of charging, with the engine using what ever voltage it can rob from other modules. The voltage on the battery must stay above 12 volts at all times when the engine is off. The Bluetooth function is only for hands free calling with a phone, not music. If you see an aux input plug in the arm rest, you can use that to play music thru the aux function on the IDrive.
